Traveling through JFK Airport in New York City sometime soon? You’ll wanna check out the fancy new rooftop pool and bar at the TWA Hotel – the only hotel right on the premises at JFK International Airport.
Set between Jetblue’s Terminal 5 and International Terminal 4, you’ll have an unobstructed unique view of of one of the world’s busiest airfields. No doubt you’ll get to see Jetblue’s fleet of Airbus’s and Embraer planes, as well as some of the word’s largest passenger aircraft parking at Terminal 4, A380’s 777’s, and 747 aircraft.
The infinity pool is a thing of beauty up here – a place to relax during a stay at the TWA Hotel, or simply a place to cool off and/or catch some vitamin D sunrays before traveling on to your next destination.
And speaking of relaxing, grab a cocktail or beer at the open-air pool bar with some friends and you’ll definitely be able to say you’ve had a unique experience. Open year-round (weather-permitting of course) the bar, pool and observation deck are open to all guests – hotel and non-hotel visitors.
Take note: There may be certain fees and beverage minimums that would apply to visit the rooftop and bar during the summer months.
How to get here:
Coming from Jetblue’s Terminal 5: go to the lower level arrivals baggage claim area, walk towards the Jetblue Baggage Services Office (BSO), you’ll see the elevator and signs pointing to the TWA Hotel in the corner. Once you walk through the world-reknowed Saarinen tubes and Terminal, you find the mid-century elevators to take you up to the rooftop level.
Coming from the Airtrain or Parking: Take any Airtrain to Terminal 5. Follow the signs to the Hotel guiding your way.
